The Rabbit and the Elephant
In a big, beautiful forest, there lived a little rabbit and a big elephant. The rabbit was very fast. It could run quickly among the trees. Its small body helped it move around easily. The elephant was very strong. It had a long trunk. It could pull up trees and carry heavy things.
One day, the rabbit saw the elephant eating leaves from a tall tree. The rabbit said, “I’m so fast! I can run all

around the forest. What can you do with your big body?” The elephant just smiled and didn’t say anything. Soon, a bad storm came. It rained hard and the wind blew strongly. A big tree was going to fall on a little deer. The rabbit wanted to help. It ran fast, but it was too weak to move the tree. It didn’t know what to do. Then, the elephant came. It used its strong trunk to push the tree away. The deer was safe. The rabbit felt sorry. It said to the elephant, “I’m sorry. I was wrong. I thought being fast was the best. But your strength is great, too. We are different, and we all have good things about us.” The elephant said, “Yes. You can run fast and be safe. I can use my strength to help others. Everyone is special. We should learn from each other.” After that, the rabbit and the elephant became good friends. Everyone is different, and that makes the world nice.
