A Fun Lunch at the Restaurant
It's a hot bright day, we step out,
To a nice restaurant, with no doubt.
We sit down by the window, near the door,
“Welcome!” says the waiter, we ask for more.
“Roast pork or juice?” my friend does say,
“Hot soup or bread?” I ask this way.
We look at the menu, see ice cream bowl,
Cool fruit salad, a sweet show.
We don't eat much, save room for more,
Chat by the table, we laugh a lot.
When our food comes, it smells so hot,
Roast chicken or soup? both taste good.
We fork the meat, drink soup slow,
Till all our plates have no more to show.
We get fruit salad, sweet and round,
It's the best treat, in the whole town.
We say thank you, walk home with joy,
A fun lunch today, we love it so!
