The little bear and the pear tree
A little bear lives near a tall tree. It is a pear tree. The pears look so good and sweet! The little bear wants to get the pears, but he is too small. "Oh, dear!" he says sadly every year.
One sunny day, he sees a very big pear. It looks so clear and yellow in the sun. "I want to get it today!" he says. He tries very hard. He stands near the tree. He uses his ears to listen. He can hear only birds singing. No one is coming. He feels good this time! He climbs up the tree. He is not small now. He gets the pear!

He is so happy. He eats the pear. He will wear the sweet juice on his face all day. It is so good!
The little bear learns that trying new things can make your fears go away. Now, he likes the tall tree, and he has no fear of it anymore.
