On this day, people eat a special hot rice porridge—Laba Zhou.
There is an interesting story about Laba Zhou. A man threw away a lot of food. People around him felt it was such a waste, so they collected the food that he threw away, such as beans and rice. At the end of the year, the man learnt a meaningful lesson.
And there is one more traditional food on the Laba Festival—Laba Garlic(大蒜). People will peel garlic and put it in the vinegar(醋). Day after day, people can taste the garlic while eating dumplings!
