On September 10, China named 24 teachers and a group of graduates from Baoding University（大学）as the nation’s “Most Beautiful Teachers” for 2025. These teachers are quite good among millions of educators in China. They are dedicated(有奉献精神的) and work with students with special needs, teach in rural areas, or help with scientific and national development.
Ding Meizhen is a teacher from Shanghai. She works in education for 37 years, with 25 years spent on inclusive education(融合教育). She thinks every child with special needs should be identified and supported early. She made 38 shared courses, over 100 teaching tools, and an intelligent platform. This platform uses technology to check children’s needs, follow their progress, and give quick support. Her work wins national awards and becomes a model for China’s modern education.
Ren Mingjie works in a village school in Henan. He started teaching there in 2014. In an article published in 2018, he said he had taken over 170,000 photos, written more than 2.8 million words and made over 20,000 videos to record students' growth. He still does such things now. He also teaches children practical skills such as using computers, taking photos and making traditional food. He once wanted to leave because of hard conditions, but now he loves his job and feels like part of the village community. Parents and students respect him a lot. He says, “Rural education is a journey of the soul.”
In 2000, the Baoding University group volunteered to teach in Xinjiang. They gave up better jobs to work in this remote place. During these years, they help many students get good education. Some of their students also go back to Xinjiang to help build their hometown.
