What is a dog?
A dog is an animal that can be kept as a pet. There are lots of different breeds of dogs. They come in all different shapes and sizes.
Dogs are mammals. They give birth to live young and feed them milk. A baby dog is called a puppy.
Dogs have a good sense of smell. They can smell things that people can't. They use their sense of smell to find food, people or objects.
