The Nazca Lines are a group of famous huge ancient drawings found in southern Peru's desert, the Nazca Desert. The Nazca people, who lived there more than 2,000 years ago, made these drawings. They took off the reddish rocks on top so that the lighter dirt below was shown.
These drawings are called "geoglyphs". They show many different shapes and pictures, including animals and plants. They were often drawn with a single long and curved(弯曲的) line. Many of the lines are so long that they can only be seen clearly from high up in the sky.
The largest geoglyph line is about 1,200 feet(366 metres) long.
The geoglyphs were first discovered in 1927. Since then, scientists have found about 430 of them in the area. Recently, with the help of AI and drones(无人机), researchers found 303 more geoglyphs in just six months.
These new geoglyphs are smaller, about 30 feet long, and show humans and different animals, including llamas, a kind of animal from South America.
To find the new geoglyphs, scientists trained a special AI program to study satellite images(卫星图像) and spot possible geoglyphs. They spent over 2,600 hours checking places suggested by the AI and took lots of pictures with drones.
The AI made a lot of mistakes, but it helped find geoglyphs much faster than before. Johny Isla, who studies the Nazca Lines, said, "What used to take three or four years can now be done in two or three days."
The researchers are still trying to understand what these geoglyphs mean. They think the way the smaller geoglyphs are grouped may be the key to understand them. They also believe that the larger geoglyphs might have been used for special ceremonies or events.

61题:原文第一段明确说明Nazca人创作Nazca Lines的方式是“took off the reddish rocks on top”,即清除顶部的红色岩石,对应选项C,故选C。
