Hare: (surprised and laughing) A race? That's funny! Let's have a race tomorrow morning.
Tortoise: Okay, see you then.
(The next morning, they stand at the starting line)
Hare: (running fast right after starting) I'm way ahead! I can take a nap and still win easily.
(The hare lies under a tree and falls asleep. The tortoise keeps walking step by step towards the finish line.)
Tortoise: (muttering to himself) I will keep going. I won't give up.
(After a long time, the tortoise reaches the finish line. The hare wakes up and runs quickly, but it's too late.)
Hare: (sadly) Oh no! I lost the race.
Tortoise: (smiling) Slow and steady wins the race.
