A Safety Drill for Natural Disasters
Last Friday, our school held a special safety drill for natural disasters in the teaching building and on the playground.
When the first alarm rang, we all quickly crouched down and hid under our desks to keep safe from falling things during the simulated earthquake. After that, the second alarm went off, we covered our mouths and noses with wet towels, bent low and walked out of the classroom in line. We all arrived at the open safe area on the playground in 3 minutes.
I learned a lot from this drill. I master many useful self-rescue skills now, and I know what to do when real disasters come. I hope everyone can take safety problems seriously, and never ignore these meaningful drills.
