五、Read and write. (读一读,写一写。)
在派对的自由活动时间里，Tom 分享了一篇他的爷爷在 1984 年某一天写的日记。
请你阅读日记，从以下任务中任选 1～2 项完成。

任务1 爷爷1984年当天的活动：
1. He learned new words and looked them up in the paper dictionary.
2. He went to the bookstore after school.
3. He rode his bike to the post office and sent a letter to his cousin in Beijing.
4. He watched an interesting TV program on his small black-and-white TV after dinner.
5. He washed clothes by hand.
6. He read the storybook *Journey to the West* before bed.
任务2 今昔生活的3处不同：
1. Now we have smart whiteboards at school, not the old blackboard. We can use e-dictionaries to check new words, we don't need to use a heavy paper dictionary all the time.
2. Now we can make video calls or send messages to friends in other cities on the phone, we don't have to ride a bike to the post office to send letters.
3. Now most families have big colour smart TVs, and we usually wash clothes with washing machines, not by hand.

本题是结合阅读的拓展写作练习，我们可以选取两个符合该题常见要求的任务完成：首先从日记中定位爷爷1984年当天的所有活动，整理出对应的动作内容；再结合当下的日常生活，和爷爷当年的生活做合理对比，使用六年级已学的词汇、对应时态语法即可。
这里示例选择任务1（梳理爷爷1984年当日的活动）和任务2（写出如今和1984年生活的3处不同）完成：
任务1：整理爷爷当天的活动，用简单的英语表达即可
任务2：结合自己的生活常识，找出和爷爷当年生活的合理差异即可

2. 现代“在互联网上学习新知识”，过去没有网络，人们主要从书本中学习新知识；
3. 现代“乘坐地铁出行”，过去地铁还不普及，人们主要乘坐公交、骑自行车出行；
4. 现代“打微信电话”，过去没有移动社交软件，人们主要靠写信、打座机来联络。
任务二为开放性作答，对比新旧生活，表达出对现代生活更便利的感慨、珍惜当下生活的想法即可，答案不唯一。
