Xizang is in the southwest of China and covers more than 1. 2 million square kilometres of land. It equals to one-eighth of China's total land area. Xizang is home to many natural wonders such as valleys，mountains，lakes and even deserts. Xizang's vast landscape makes it perfect for travelling and setting for one of life's most memorable cycling journeys. This wonderful and challenging bike tour starts from Xizang's capital，Lhasa. Because Lhasa is 3,650 metres above the sea level，it is important to spend a few days getting used to the thin air at this height. Once you have visited the famous Potala Palace and packed lots of water and food for the trip，you will be ready to start cycling.
