The Sherlock Holmes Museum
In the stories written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Sherlock Holmes and Watson lived at 221B Baker Street between 1881 and 1904. In fact, you can now find the Sherlock Holmes Museum at 221B Baker Street. It is a privately run museum and opened in 1990. It is near the north end of Baker Street in the centre of London close to Regent's Park. So step back in time and visit the museum!

The British Museum
Sir Hans Sloane collected everything: books, pictures, stones, birds, butterflies, and ancient things. He was a great collector. He died in 1753 and he bequeathed(遗赠) his collection to King George Ⅱ. This was the beginning of the British Museum. It opened to the public in 1759. The British Museum is a house of old, interesting and important objects collected all over the world. Today, the British Museum has become one of the largest museums in the world, covering an area of over 92,000 m².
