They believe it can help develop independence, teach them to look after themselves, help them understand fairness, and be better for their future. However, other parents disagree. They think teenagers already have enough stress from schoolwork, need to focus on studying to get into a good university, and thus have no time for housework.
In my opinion, teenagers should do housework. Doing housework not only helps us develop independence and learn to take care of ourselves but also makes us understand fairness since everyone in the family should share responsibilities. It is also beneficial for our future life.
