11. Read and number
Every Sunday, Mum made a big breakfast for the family. She was a wonderful cook. The family would talk and laugh when they ate their breakfast together.
It was a nice Sunday morning. Helen and Becky were waiting for their mother. "Good morning, girls!" said Dad. "Mum's out. So today I'm going to make your breakfast."
"What would you like to eat?" asked Dad.
"Can I have some pancakes?" said Helen.
"I'd like an egg sandwich," said Becky.
"Uh ... OK. Sure! No problem!"
"Dad, can we help?" asked the girls.
"No, thank you! Wait and see!"
Some minutes later, Dad came out and said, "I'm sorry, girls! I'm afraid we won't have a big breakfast today."
The girls ran into the kitchen and saw a black egg and black pancakes. They laughed.
"How does your mum do it? I never know cooking is so hard," said Dad.
"That's OK, Dad. We can have milk and cereal(麦片)."
Helen got the milk and cereal. Becky got the bowls and spoons. They sat together, eating, talking and laughing.

“没关系，爸爸。我们可以喝牛奶、吃麦片。”
海伦拿来了牛奶和麦片。贝基拿来了碗和勺子。她们坐在一起，边吃边说边笑。
