Baduanjin
People created Baduanjin in the Song Dynasty over 800 years ago. Equipment is not necessary and it requires very little space or time, so it's convenient to start. As people practise, they move slowly and breathe deeply. It allows the body to relax and the mind to be peaceful. It's really a perfect exercise, but weak patients should not take it up.
Taijiquan
Chinese practise Taijiquan for about 600 years. It also mixes slow movements(运动) and deep breath. Playing Taijiquan is to keep the balance of yin and yang in the body through opposite movements. Now, Taijiquan is practised and loved deeply by people all over the world. But people with joint(关节) diseases shouldn't practise Taijiquan.
Chinese Five-Animal Boxing
Chinese Five-Animal Boxing, also known as Wuqinxi, is created by Hua Tuo, a famous medical scientist in the late Eastern Han Dynasty over 1,800 years ago. It is the first complete set of qigong exercises following the movements of animals:monkeys, deer, birds, bears and tigers. It's designed to help blood circulation(循环) and let the energy go smoothly(流畅地) in the body to improve health. It needs no tools and it's easy to learn, but it doesn't fit little boys or girls.
