Our Group Reading Log
Group 3
Today our group talk about the famous book *Robinson Crusoe* together.
This book is written by British writer Daniel Defoe, and it belongs to adventure classics. The main character is a brave and smart man called Robinson Crusoe. The whole story is based on a real person's experience: after a bad storm at sea, all the other people on the ship lose their lives, and Robinson has to spend 28 years on a wild lonely island. He builds a simple house by himself, grows corn to make bread, even keeps some wild animals as his pets. He also saves a man and names him Friday, and they become close friends later.
All of our group members think this book is a really good read. It tells us no matter what trouble we meet, we should never be afraid and try our best to live on. The most popular quote we pick from the book is: "The fear of danger is ten thousand times more terrifying than danger itself." We all learn that being brave is the best weapon to beat problems.
