三、阅读文段并完成文段后的练习
The Trojan Horse was a clever trick used by the Greeks to win the Trojan War. But do you know who came up with the idea? It is said that it was actually invented by Odysseus, a brave and clever Greek hero. After ten years of war, he suddenly thought of building a huge wooden horse to hide soldiers inside and fool the Trojans. Thanks to this plan, he helped his people win the war and he became the hero of the Greeks.
This Greek hero also had a touching love story. Odysseus’s wife, Penelope, waited for him for 20 years while he was away at war and on his long journey home. Many men wanted to marry her so they told her that Odysseus was dead, yet she remained loyal. To keep her loyalty to her husband, she cleverly wove a cloth (织布) during the day and secretly unwove it at night.
After years of struggle and hardship on his long journey home, Odysseus finally returned to Ithaca. There, he joyfully reunited with his wife, Penelope. The king was moved by Odysseus’s loyalty and wisdom. He honoured him with great praise and rewards.

1. Do you know any other smart tricks like Trojan Horse in Chinese ancient stories? Write down one or two tricks.____
2. What do you think of using smart tricks in wars?____

答案

1. Two smart tricks in Chinese ancient stories:
(1) Luring the tiger to leave the mountain (调虎离山)
(2) Creating something from nothing (无中生有)
2. Smart strategies in war can help weaker armies defeat stronger enemies—like how Zhuge Liang used Empty City Strategy to protect his city. Good strategies can also save lives by winning battles faster with less fighting. This is why China's ancient military wisdom (like the 36 Stratagems) still inspires us today.
