After an accident washed up Marina Murphy's career as a dancer, she wanted to try something different. She set her sights on going to America from Ireland. Marina believed that she would have chances there and could do something she wanted.
Full of hope, Marina packed her things, said goodbyes and set sail for the United States.
Along the way, Marina pictured herself becoming famous in Hollywood as a movie star. She imagined living a better life.
Shortly after Marina arrived, she did everything she could to make a living. She spent very little money and worked several part - time jobs. She pursued(追求) acting as well but she was refused many times. With so much failure, Marina's dream became hopeless. She wondered if she had made a big mistake.
