One day, Mrs Mills goes to London. She does not know London very well, and she loses her way.
Suddenly, she sees a man near a bus stop. "I can ask him the way," she says to herself.
"Excuse me," she says. "Can you tell me the way to King Street, please?"
The man smiles pleasantly. He does not understand English! He is a tourist.
Then he puts his hand into his pocket, and takes out a phrase book. He opens the book and finds a phrase. He reads the phrase slowly. "I am sorry," he says. "I do not speak English."
