Swimming is really interesting, but you need to know how to be safe around water.
Swimming pools
It’s exciting to swim in the swimming pool, but it’s important to test ( 测试 ) the pool’s water temperature ( 温度 ). When you jump into cold water, your heart rate ( 心率 ) will go up.
Other rules to follow:
★ When you’re in the pool, always have an adult ( 成年人 ) with you.
★ Walk slowly near the pool. Don’t run.
★ If you’re just learning to swim, stay in the shallow ( 浅的 ) water.
★ Don’t push ( 推 ) others. You could hurt them.
Water parks
