Spring trip in Alaska
I live in a small town in Alaska. Every year, our school organizes a spring trip. My favourite place is a quiet forest by a lake. It’s a great place to have fun and enjoy nature. In early spring, it starts to get warm here, but you can still see a lot of snow and ice.
We have different activities. We can hike around the forest, go ice fishing or play ice hockey. Ice hockey is very popular in Alaska, and many people start playing it at a young age. It is an exciting sport. In the evening, we build a fire with our teachers and sit around it. We eat dinner, play games and sing songs together.
My classmates and I love sitting under the stars because we can enjoy our favourite activity—watching the Northern Lights! The green, pink and blue lights seem to dance in the sky. What an amazing sight!
I look forward to the school trips every year. They make me think that Alaska is one of the most beautiful places in the world. It can be difficult to live here sometimes, but I don’t want to live anywhere else!
