Three Rocks
Read and answer: Who is clever in this story?
One winter, a man went to a little town. He was cold and hungry, and he wanted some food from the people in the town. "We have no food for you. Shoo! Get out of the town," all the people said. "I can cook dinner for you," said the man.
He got a big pot. He put three big rocks into the pot. "It smells good, but it will be better with brown stock," he said. People brought brown stock.
The man put brown stock into the pot. "It smells good, but it will be better with leeks," he said. People brought leeks.
The man put the leeks into the pot. "It smells good, but it will be better with some roast chicken," he said. People brought the roast chicken.
The man put the roast chicken into the pot. "This is good!" all the people said. They were happy that the man cooked a nice dinner. The children said, "But you all put the food into the pot!"
