There are three important traditional (传统的) festivals in China. They bring happiness to families and pass on Chinese culture (文化).
The Spring Festival comes in January or February. It's the Chinese New Year. Families get together. Parents give children lucky money and everyone eats dumplings.
The Dragon Boat Festival is in May or June. To remember (纪念) the famous poet (诗人) Qu Yuan, people hold dragon boat races and eat zongzi.
The Mid-Autumn Festival is in September or October. People watch the moon and eat mooncakes. It's a time for families to get together.
