Rotorua: a wonderful place
Rotorua is a city on the North Island of New Zealand. I'm proud to call it my hometown. If you ask me, it's the best city in the world! It is known for its amazing natural wonders and rich culture.
Rotorua is famous for its hot springs. You can experience the heat from the earth in many parts of the city. Local people love bathing in its natural pools—and so do visitors to Rotorua! In fact, people often travel to New Zealand to relax in our waters. Many people believe the hot springs in Rotorua can be good for their health. More than that, it is also a one-of-a-kind experience to sleep in a hotel near the pools—they smell quite funny!
Rotorua is also home to the Māori people, the very first humans of New Zealand. Visitors love to learn about Māori traditions, language and art through cultural shows, storytelling and visits to Māori villages. During some shows, the Māori people even invite visitors to join their interesting songs and dances! It is their special way to welcome guests.
With its mix of natural beauty and local culture, Rotorua is truly a great place.
