2026年阳光假日暑假八年级英语外研版第91页答案
B
In our school, there is a new student named Tom. He comes from a small village far away in the countryside. The village is quiet and beautiful, but it is not as developed as our city. There are fewer tall buildings and modern teaching conditions there, so Tom found it really hard to get used to the new school life at the beginning.
Tom is not good at English, and he is very shy. He is afraid of speaking in public or talking with his new classmates. He is worried that his poor English and accent will make others laugh at him. So he often keeps silent in class and hardly communicates with anyone around him. He even feels very nervous and stressed when the teacher asks him questions in English.
Our head teacher noticed his difficult situation and felt worried about him. She encouraged us to be friendly and warm to Tom, hoping that we could help him fit in better and build up his confidence little by little. After hearing what the head teacher said, I volunteered to help him with his English. I wanted to do something to make him feel at home in our class.
Every afternoon after school, I spent about 30 minutes with him in the quiet classroom. I helped him memorize new words patiently, corrected his pronunciation carefully, and practised simple daily conversations with him. At first, Tom was too nervous to speak English aloud. He was afraid of making mistakes and being laughed at, so he kept his head down all the time.
But with my continuous help and his own hard work, he slowly changed a lot. He gradually became more confident and brave. He started to take the initiative to answer questions in English class and even made close friends with several of our classmates. He became more active and willing to share his ideas with others.
Now, Tom's English has improved greatly, and he is no longer the shy and quiet boy he used to be. He often says that my help has changed his life and made him believe in himself again. I feel really proud and happy about what I have done, because helping others is such a meaningful thing that can make a real difference to people's lives.

答案

1.B 2.C 3.B 4.C

解析

1. 细节理解题:根据文章第一段第二句“He comes from a small village far away in the countryside.”,可以直接得知Tom来自一个偏远乡村的小村庄,对应选项B。
2. 细节理解题:根据文章第二段第一句“Tom is not good at English, and he is very shy.”以及最后一段“he is no longer the shy and quiet boy he used to be”,可知Tom刚到学校的时候性格很害羞,对应选项C。
He started to take the initiative to answer questions in English class and even made close friends with several of our classmates.”的内容吻合;选项D表述错误,是作者而非班主任帮助Tom学习英语。
