Hi David,
This Friday, my mum took me to Guilin. We got there early in the morning and had a good time.
We visited one of Guilin's most famous places, Elephant Trunk Hill(象鼻山). It looked like an elephant putting its nose into the Li River. I took a trip down the river on a bamboo boat.
Then we went to Yangshuo and ate some delicious food like rice noodles, fish, and duck. I loved the rice noodles. Every day, I had them for breakfast. Then we visited a karst cave(喀斯特溶洞). I hoped to see some animals, but I didn't get to.
The most wonderful thing about this trip was mountain climbing. ▲ So, we put on our harnesses(保护带) before we started climbing the mountain. I was afraid of falling down. Mum kept staying with me, and we finally got to the top! We shouted(呼喊) and jumped up and down.
We plan to go back next Monday evening. I bought you some postcards. I hope you like them.
