Love and Salt
Read the passage and answer this question: What's the old king's favourite gift?
Long long ago, there was an old king. He had three daughters. On his birthday, the king asked, "My dear daughters, show your gifts and your love to me." Three daughters took birthday gifts for the king.
The elder daughter said, "Dad, have some honey. My love is the same as the honey!" The king said, "I like it. It's so sweet and valuable! Thank you, my dear daughter!"
The second daughter said, "Dad, have some wine. My love is the same as the wine!" The king said, "I like it very much. It's so tasty and valuable! Thank you, my dear daughter!"
The younger daughter said, "Dad, have some salt, my love is the same as the salt." The king was very angry, "I don't like it. It's salty and valueless. Get out of my palace tomorrow!" The younger daughter was calm, she said, "Dad, I'm going to leave you tomorrow! Let me cook birthday dinner for you!" Then she cooked a big dinner.
"It's really a big dinner! Wow, fish, pork, beef, chicken and so on." The king tasted the dinner. But, the fish is tasteless. The pork is tasteless. The beef is tasteless. The chicken is tasteless. And everything is tasteless. The king shouted, "Why are all the food tasteless?"

The younger daughter said, "Dad, salt is usual, but you need it every day! My love is like the salt. It's usual, but it will stay with you every day forever!"
The king eventually knew what his favourite birthday gift is!
