三、阅读表达 阅读下面的短文,然后根据短文内容回答问题,每小题答案不超过8个单词。
Since leaving primary school, a teenager in Britain, who did not want to reveal (透露) his name, had been eating only chips, crisps and white bread, as well as some ham from time to time. He explained that he simply hated the smell and taste of vegetables, and those chips and crisps were the only type of food that he had the desire to eat.
At the age of 14, he went to see the doctor for always feeling tired and uncomfortable. At that time, he was diagnosed (诊断) with vitamin B12 deficiency (缺乏), but he did not listen to the doctor and went on with his poor diet. Three years later he was taken to the Bristol Eye Hospital because he was losing his eyesight.
“He had lost minerals (矿物质) for his bones, which was really quite surprising for a boy of his age,” said Dr Denize Atan at the hospital. He could walk around on his own, but he had blind spots (盲点) right in the middle of his vision — it means that he could not drive and would find it really difficult to read books, watch TV or tell other people’s faces.
Dr Atan says that cases like this are uncommon, but people should understand the harm of an unhealthy diet. For those who are worried, she suggests that it is best not to be worried about this, and instead calmly add one or two new kinds of food at times.
