While the wind was blowing strongly outside, my family and I stayed quietly in the living room. When we heard knocks on the door, we were a little nervous. It was our neighbour, who came to check if we were safe. He gave us a flashlight and some warm milk. We talked together until the typhoon passed. The next morning, the weather was fine.
Although the typhoon was terrible, we felt safe and warm. I learned that help from others is important in danger.
For Jack:
While the building was shaking, our teacher told us to hide under our desks quickly. When the shaking stopped a minute later, we walked out of the classroom carefully in an orderly way. We stayed on the playground safely. After a while, everything returned to normal. Luckily, no one was hurt.
That day, I will never forget. I realized how important it is to keep calm when we face natural disasters.
