Last summer holiday, I had a chance to take a trip to Guilin with my family. Guilin is a beautiful city in Guangxi Province, famous for its clear water, green mountains, and special caves. Many people from all over the world visit Guilin every year. Before we left, I searched for some information online and learnt that Guilin's mountains and rivers are like a traditional Chinese painting. I was really looking forward to the trip.
We went there by high-speed train. It was fast and comfortable, and I enjoyed the sights outside the windows all the way. When we arrived, the weather was cool and nice. The air was clean, and everything around seemed so peaceful.

On the second day, we visited a famous cave with amazing rocks inside. The rocks had special shapes(形状), and with colourful lights, they looked even more wonderful. I walked slowly and enjoyed every corner of the cave. I felt truly surprised by the beauty of nature.
On the third day, we walked around the city and tried some local food. The food was simple but delicious. We also bought some small gifts for our friends. The people in Guilin were kind and friendly, and they made us feel warm and welcome.
Although the trip was short, it was one of the most unforgettable experiences in my life. I not only enjoyed the beautiful sights, but also learnt about the local culture and history. For me, travelling is a great way to relax and open my eyes to the world. I hope I can travel to more wonderful places and collect more beautiful memories in the future.
