“I'm friends with everybody!” A hare（野兔） always said. “They love me because I'm so beautiful!”
One day, the hare went to the farm to talk with a horse. But several minutes later, the hare got bored. “See you later!” she said. “I'm going to the forest now.”
She ran into the forest and met a bird. “Hey! I'm the hare. Do you want to play with me?” The bird nodded. But the hare got fretful very soon too. “Sorry,” she said. “I'm going to meet some other friends.”
Then the hare saw an animal she'd never seen before, so she wanted to make friends with him.
“Hi! I'm the hare. I'm popular in the forest. What's your name?” the hare said to the animal happily.
The animal looked at her and smiled. The hare noticed his big, sharp teeth.
“Nice to meet you, Hare,” the animal said. “But I'm not looking for friends—I'm looking for dinner!” It was a tiger!
The hare was afraid now. She turned and ran as fast as she could.
The hungry tiger ran after her! The hare saw the bird and cried, “Hey, friend! I need your help!” “I'm busy now,” the bird said and flew away. Later, the hare met the horse, but he said, “It's not a good time.”
After running for a long time, the tiger finally stopped and went away. The poor hare cried, “I should make a few true friends. Then they will help me when I really need them!”
