Cooking with the Sun
I am Tom. Last weekend, I went to a fun science class. I learned to cook food with sunlight.
I made a simple sun cooker. First, I took a paper box and put black paper inside it. Black paper can take in heat and keep it well. Then, I put clear plastic on the top of the box. The plastic lets sunlight in and keeps the heat from going out.
I put some potatoes in the box and left it in the sun. After two hours, I opened the box. The potatoes were hot and cooked! It was so cool.
I learned that the Sun gives us strong and clean energy. Solar energy doesn't make the air dirty. It never runs out. We should find more good ways to use it!
