Do you know a mountain that looks like big steps?
That's Batai Mountain, an amazing place in Dazhou, Sichuan.
The name "Batai" means "eight terraces(台阶)", because it looks like it has eight huge flat steps going up. It's very tall(over 2,200 metres). Because of its height, it's one of the first places in Sichuan to see the sunrise each morning. Watching the sun come up from the top is amazing.
For nature lovers, Batai Mountain is a good place to visit. You can see fantastic deep valleys, interesting rock shapes and big forests all around. On the fine mornings, there are thick clouds covering the land below, making the top of the mountain look like islands in a huge white sea. And if you're brave enough, you can even walk on special paths(小路) with glass parts high above the ground—it feels just like walking in the sky.
