C部分 完整续写短文
After we heard the strange noise outside our camp that night, we decided to find out what was happening. We walked slowly towards the dark bush, and soon saw a fuzzy moving shadow behind the leaves, with pieces of our picnic bag strap lying on the ground nearby. We thought the shadow might be the thing that took our missing food.
We squatted far away to watch it for a while, and found that it was very small, moved really fast, and made soft squeak sounds now and then. It could not be a human thief, it must be a small wild animal that moves quickly.
Then we walked around the bush to check the surroundings, and surprisingly found lots of our lost things at the gate of a big old tree hole: half a piece of chocolate, my cartoon key ring, and my best friend's lovely hair band. The owner of all these small things must be an animal that lives in the tree hole.
We gently moved the branches of the bush away, and the truth finally came out: a fat fluffy little squirrel was holding our lost beef sandwich and eating happily, and there were lots of our lost small items in its warm nest. The "thief" we have been looking for days must be this cute little squirrel.
We didn't disturb the little guy. We put all the nut snacks we brought next to the tree hole, and walked back to our camp with big smiles. This special little "thief" can be the most interesting surprise we get this summer.

解析

本题结合九年级情态动词表推测(must/can/could/might be...)
