Boys and girls, do you love Maths? Recently, our school held a three-day Maths festival. Fun activities helped students fall in love with Maths.
On the first day, students performed plays and we watched some of them. My favourite play was about Chinese mathematician Hua Luogeng. Three students played Hua at three different ages. They let us know about his amazing life and his passion for Maths.
The second day was the most interesting day. Grade 8 students made model rockets with plastic bottles and released them in the playground. They said making them was a challenge, but their dreams finally came true. The most successful one flew as high as the second floor of the teaching building.
Our school also invited some college students. They showed us some science equipment and did experiments with us. For example, we made a small water-cleaning system. It turned dirty water into clean water! After we finished, I felt the magic of science.
The festival closed with a Maths teacher's speech. Students are already looking forward to next year's festival.
