I’m a student from Grade 9. I’d like to join you and become a volunteer. Born in a family of artists, I have learned a lot about Chinese traditional art, among which I like paper cutting best. Paper cutting is a folk culture with so long a history. When Chinese New Year comes or people get married, it is a custom to put the paper cuts on the windows and doors. I can make some with a variety of themes like flowers, animals and humans. Red is the most commonly used color, because it is a symbol of good luck.
I'm eager to get the chance to introduce Chinese culture to the foreign students, spreading beauty in common things around the world. I'll make the foreign students know Chinese people are clever in mind and skillful in hand. If possible, I'll make some paper cuts for them as gifts.
