One Day in Beijing
Hi, I'm Jenny. I'm from Qingdao. I arrived in Beijing this morning with my parents. It was sunny and hot. We went to Tian'anmen Square(天安门广场). It was the biggest central square in the world. We took some photos there.
Then we went into the Palace Museum(故宫博物院). It was also known as the Forbidden City(紫禁城). I saw many old buildings. Red and yellow were used on the palace walls. I really enjoyed walking around the museum.
For lunch, we had something very special. I ate Beijing Roast Duck(北京烤鸭)in Quanjude Roast Duck Restaurant. I ate a lot. It was delicious.
In the afternoon, we took a subway to the Summer Palace(颐和园). It was a nice place. There were many beautiful lotus flowers on the lake. We went boating there. It was so exciting.
In the evening, we went to watch Beijing Opera(京剧). That was so interesting.
It was a busy day. I felt a little tired, but excited. We had a lot of fun. I bought gifts for my friends. I hope they'll like them.
