My 12-year-old cousin Simon has a big dream. He would like to have a nice black coat made of wool very much. This kind of coat is very popular with boys and girls of his age at school. He often talks about how he wishes to have one.
One day, Simon and I go shopping together. We see a beautiful black coat in a small shop. It is the same style as the popular coats. It feels soft and warm, and it isn't dear at all—it costs only 35 dollars. Simon is so excited that he buys it at once.
The next day, Simon wears the new coat to school happily. When he comes back home, he has a big smile on his face and even sings songs happily. Over the next few weeks, Simon changes a lot. He becomes much more confident. He helps his father by bringing him water, dares to speak in front of his classmates, and gives his seat to old people on the bus. His mother says his change may be because of the new coat.
When hot summer comes, Simon cannot wear the coat any more. But to our surprise, he doesn't become shy again. He is a young boy full of energy.
From this, I learn that clothes don't matter. The thing that really changes Simon is his own attitude to life.
