Three hours,18 km,a climbing height of 400 meters,this is what I remember from my first time of cycling in a mountain area.
Before I went to Mogan Mountains with Prodigy Outdoor Club during a weekend at the end of March,I thought cycling was easy. But I was wrong. Cycling in mountain areas is enjoyable and challenging. That day we started from a village and rode along Xi Wu Road,and the road goes through green tree, lakes and fields. Before the tour, our coach taught us what we should know. He told us some members once hurt their legs because they were not careful enough.
The first two kilometers was on a smooth road through the village,it was easy,but when we rode into the mountains, the hike became heavy and difficult to go. Stones and sand made my hike go like a rabbit. After 10 minutes I was out of breath,and I want to stop, but the coach asked me to go on.
It was even harder and sometimes a little dangerous when we got down the mountain. When I returned to the club,I lay down on the ground and couldn't move. I thought I would never want to try the sport again,but the next day I did my best and improved myself. I was very happy.
