This summer,he helped international visitors at a global green sports event. His team had trained for months to welcome guests from over 20 countries.
On 12th July,Lin met Ms Evans,a visually impaired,视觉障碍 athlete. She stood nervously near the entrance,入口,unable to find her guide. "I've never felt so lost," she said nervously. Remembering his training,Lin calmly offered help. With a warm smile,he comforted her,"Don't worry! I'll stay with you. " He described the surroundings,周围环境 using clear directions while guiding her elbow with his arm. Along the shady path,he shared stories about lotus flowers and even taught her to say "thank you" in Chinese. When her guide rushed over apologetically,愧疚地 15 minutes later,Ms Evans was smiling.
Ms Evans later wrote:"Lin didn't just show me the way—he helped me ‘see’ the beauty everywhere through his words. "That night,Lin wrote in his diary with pride:"I've learned that true help needs both skills and heart. The joy in her voice was my best reward. Now I understand why we say,‘To serve others is to grow yourself. ’"
