The Amazon Rainforest
The Amazon Rainforest is a famous natural wonder in the world. It is located in the southern part of South America, covering several countries. It is a special type of rainforest with plenty of freshwater rivers and amazing underwater life.
Every year, it can attract thousands of curious travellers from all over the world.
However, the Amazon Rainforest is in bad condition now. Its area is becoming smaller and smaller. There are many dangerous factors（要素） it is facing. First, people cut down too many trees for wood and land. Second, water pollution is a big problem, as dirty water destroys the freshwater rivers and underwater life. Third, forest fires often happen, which burn large areas of the rainforest. These activities are very risky and destroy its natural environment seriously.
Luckily, people around the world are taking action to protect it. Many countries make rules to stop cutting down too many trees. Volunteers work hard to prevent forest fires and clean the polluted water. As travellers, we should also protect its beauty and not hurt the plants or animals there. It is our duty to save this great natural treasure.
