(传统文化) Chinese New Year is a very important festival in China. People like to be with their family at that time. They usually cook many kinds of delicious food. Then they have a big dinner.
Chinese people like to eat dumplings during the festival. Dumplings have a history of about 1,800 years. They really get very popular in China. Fish is another kind of lucky food for Chinese people. In Chinese, “fish” sounds like “surplus (剩余)”. Chinese people like to have a surplus at the end of the year. They think if they save some things at that time, they can make more next year.
