It was a hot day. A black crow(乌鸦) was very thirsty, so he flew here and there all
day looking for water. Suddenly, he saw a big water bottle on the ground. He flew down to
look at the bottle. "Water, there's some water in the bottle," he cried. "But how can I
drink the water?" He put his beak(鸟嘴) quite close to the water bottle. He couldn't drink.
The water was at the bottom of the bottle.
"What can I do? I want to drink." The crow looked up and down. He found many
small stones(石头) near the bottle. He got a good idea. "I can put some stones into the
bottle. Soon the water will be high in the bottle, and I can drink."
At last, the crow drank a lot. What a clever crow!
