Animal signs
Drivers must always be careful. In the city they have to look out for other cars and people. But on country roads there are animals too!
Signs beside the road tell drivers to look out for animals. The drivers may have to slow down. These signs help to prevent accidents.
In many parts of the world there are signs for farm animals, like cows and sheep. Farmers often take their animals from one place to another, and sometimes they have to cross a road. Drivers must stop and wait for the animals to pass.
In some parts of the world there are wild animals on the roads. In Australia there are more than 50 million kangaroos. That’s more than double the number of people! Kangaroos move fast, so drivers must be very careful. Oman has a lot of camels, and they sometimes walk across the roads. They move more slowly than kangaroos, but they are very big!
