There are four main groups of instruments. There are many kinds of instruments in each group. You can play instruments to make music!

Some instruments (like guitar, violin ) use strings to make sounds. We use a bow (弓）or our fingers（手指）to play them. They are string instruments. In China, pipa and guzheng belong to the string instruments.

Some instruments ( like flute, suona ) use air from our mouths to make sounds. We blow into them and play them. We call them wind instruments.

Some instruments ( like drum) use sticks（棍状物）or hands to make sounds. Beat them to play them. They are beat instruments.

Some instruments ( like piano ) use keys to make sounds. Press（按压）the keys to play them. They belong to the keyboard instruments.
