In summer, there are serious floods in some places. 1 For example, they can destroy(摧毁) buildings and bridges. Knowing how to protect ourselves is necessary when facing floods. Here are some useful suggestions.
2 During the floods, if you are outside, don't try to walk or swim home or to workplaces. Because the water moves fast, you might be knocked down(冲倒). If you are driving your car, stop driving.
Find a safer place to stay. Move to the highest floor if you are in a tall building. The roof(屋顶) is also a good place to stay. 3 But if the floods are serious and your car is filled with water, get out and stay at the roof of the car.
