Elephants love to eat! Elephants spend nearly 12 to 16 hours a day eating.
A large elephant can eat about 600 kg a day. They love eating apples, bananas, cabbages and sugarcane(甘蔗). They drink 200 L(升) of water a day during the summer.
Elephants never forget. Elephants are good at remembering things, because they have the largest brain(大脑) of any land animal. They can remember places where food and water can be found. They can even tell the difference between the call of a friend and the call of an enemy(敌人).
