My name is Arthur. I'm eight years old, and my life is great. Every morning, Mum wakes me up by tickling my feet. It makes me laugh and starts my day on a happy note. For breakfast, Dad makes animal-shaped pancakes. After school, Dad and I kick the ball until dinner.
But a few months ago, my parents told me that I was going to have a little sister. I didn't want to share my parents with anybody. Mum and Dad said that I would have to share my bedroom with the baby. She'd better not use my special cup. No way. I told Mum that I didn't want a baby sister.
Dad puts the baby on my lap. And then the most amazing thing happens. She reaches out her hand and grabs my finger! I think she knows that I'm her big brother. She likes me already. Maybe having a sister won't be so bad. I think Mum and Dad have enough love for both of us.
