Hi Adam,
I'm on vacation in China and having a great time. I'm in Yunnan now! It's a beautiful province and there is so much to see and do! There are snow mountains, forests, lakes and ancient towns to explore.
The Yi people here have a long and interesting history. Yi culture is rich in song, dance and embroidery(刺绣). The patterns on Yi embroidery are various(各种各样的), including flowers, animals and shapes. They are known for their colourful clothing, silver jewelry(银饰) and lively festivals.
Last week, I joined in the Torch(火把) Festival. The night sky was lit up with thousands of torches. People believe they can drive away bad luck and welcome a good harvest.
I am staying at Lugu Lake now. It is a huge freshwater lake surrounded by mountains and trees, making it a perfect spot for hiking. It rained all day yesterday. I hope tomorrow will be a nice day!
