A Little Mouse Goes on a Picnic

One day, three mice go on a picnic in the woods. They see a big tree. “It looks like a nice place. Let’s eat lunch under the tree,” says the mother mouse.
The baby mouse is eating tasty cheese. Suddenly, she sees some pretty butterflies flying behind the trees. She gets so excited and runs towards them.
“Oh, Cici! Where are you going?”
“I’m going to play with these butterflies.”
“Be careful! A really scary cat lives in the woods.”
“OK, Mum! I won’t run far away from you,” says Cici.
The butterflies keep flying. Cici follows them. Oh! Where are they? Cici can’t see them. She’s so sad. Suddenly, she sees two blue marbles behind the bushes. “These marbles are so pretty!” Cici is so happy. She runs towards them.
“Meow!” Here comes a big cat. The blue “marbles” are his eyes. “Oh, no!” Cici is so scared. “Help! Mum! Dad!” Cici shouts, but they can’t hear her. She’s far away from them. Oh! What’s that? A group of butterflies are flying in front of the cat’s blue eyes. The cat can’t see Cici. Cici runs and runs. She comes back to her parents. “Thank you, my dear friends!” She is so grateful to the butterflies.
